Clutch pedal went to the floor and couldn't engage any gears ???

Correct me if I'm wrong but is this the throw out bearing ? I have a spec stage 5+ clutch with a oem Audi throw out bearing and put around 450 miles on it no problem (car sat for the past year also don't know if this has anything to do with it ) and all of a sudden on the highway pedal went to the floor and like I said couldn't engage into any gear :/ let me know your thought on what it is I'm pretty sure it's the throw out bearing , and if it is , is there a performance upgrade for the throw out bearing ? Thank in advance guys

could be slave cylinder check fluid level mine pooed its goop out when putting engine back in and peddle was the same as yours

    good luck

what is the spec clutch like?
have heard mixed responses, the basket springs broke on a friends nsx and due to the uneven pressure ruined his flywheel

I replaced the slave cylinder before putting the engine in , is it common for it to go so quickly?
And I haven't noticed any fluid level drop ?

-and tell you the truth the clutch isn't bad I use it for daily driving a bit heavy and squeaks a little but other than that it's do-able

        Master cylinder is gone imo

Often with a few pumps by hand you'll be able to engage a gear if its on the way out

Yes I think I mixed them up and the master cylinder IMO to us gone, however I didn't see any fluid loss ( idk if there was supposed to be )

MC wouldn't necessarily leak fluid into the Footwell
The seal can tear internally and then it won't hold pressure.

I have a stage 5 pressure plate that I will be using. My concern is the extra force on the components downstream of the slave cylinder, push rod, bearing, etc. Could be one of these items not holding up in your set up? I'm going to go with a Tilton hydraulic release bearing and see how that works out.

hmm very good point, i have not yet looked at any of these to see if they failed, anyone have experience with this pressure plate (stage 5 +) that could give feedback
                    on this?

And any opinions if the stock components should hold up to this clamping pressure?

just verified that my clutch master cylinder is intact, so im guessing the slave cylinder needs to be replaced, are there any better alternatives to this?

I have had two clutch failiures on my s6.the first time was the slave cylinder rod that had broken, its a 6mm rod, and even a standard ur s6/s4clutch is very heavy so its prone to failure.
the second time it was the pedal box itself that broke.
The first one is an easy fix. the second is not so easy.I am not saying this is your problem, but you need to check it out before you go any further.
I believe some of this is covered in urs4boys link.

I'm not sure i understand what you mean by pedal box broke ? ( you mean the clutch pedal itself ? , please explain thanks )

This can to my mind that a failed MC can be internally not just externally (the rod connecting to the pin ) which I was looking for , I don't see any fluid loss or anything so is my best bet changing the MC first ? Is there any diagnostics to narrow down what the problem exactly is ?

If you are going to post here, you have to learn and use the UK English terms. And yes, he means the clutch pedal, as shown in the clutch pedal R&R link contained in the clutch info link I provided above.
