I have no idea what you were expecting but the "quattro" system is NOT a full time all wheels locked-together system. The front diff is a NORMAL open differential which behaves as you see, i.e. with the other wheels on the ground, you can turn the front wheel that is off the ground. That is normal.

That said, it does sound like you have some slack in the differential crown and pinion gears.
Of course he knows that. Watch the video again with sound on.
The issue is he CAN'T turn the wheel.

On my home forum (quattroworld UrS), one member (with an UrS6 saloon) has a wife who drives an UrS6 estate. She has become known as Buffy, Bumperslayer for good rea$on$.

Yeah I guess I'll have to check everything is square underneath. I've not been driving the s2 recently but the destroyer of cars (wife) has.
Don't think it was as scrubby as that last time I drove it.

Agree with the above, esp if the car has been lowered. My avant tends to eat rear tyres with a lot of city driving due to scrub on tight turns.

Always had this on near full lock, so to a certain extent, it's just one of those things

Yup check alignment. Also if you have wider tyres or wheels depending on the offset it usually effects the scrub radius which makes it judder a bit with high lock at slow speed.

started a topic 6 speed box issues.

    6 speed box issues.

My ABY avant has a 6 speed box that's been totally trouble free but I'm suspecting something is going on now. While turning at low speeds 3/4 lock or more you really feel the diffs arguing about who's in charge. It feels like when you lock up the diffs in an older car (like a 90q). From outside you hear the tyres scrubbing but I'm unable to tell what wheels are fighting. Its very noticeable in reverse when (for example) turning in my driveway.
Its had fresh oil and all the cv's are new. There's no leaks and the oil met vw/audi recommendations.
The rear diff Indicates its unlocked, and besides that it really feels like the front end.
    Anybody got any ideas?
