Hi all, I have just gone out for a spin in my 3b coupe and a whinning noise comming from the gearbox but not in 2nd or 4th gear. I have not used the car for a few weeks now but never heard this noise before, I'm not sure if its clutch or gearbo, has anyone experienced this before?

i think your gear selector lever is touching something on the chasis when you push the lever forward...actualy...the gearbox lever goes bacwards when you try to engage 1,3 and 5 th gear...
check there first!

Had this recently last week in fact ! It may be the rubber sleeve under the gear lever mine is torn hence why I could hear loads of grating and grinding noise ! It was in fact the road noise from under the carComment
