3B reverse sender/switch

Bit thick but can someone tell me where the reverse switch/sender is on a 3B 5 speed gearbox.
(pictures paint a thousand words if poss)

That's an 01E.

01a as fitted to 3bs is different.

This should be correct.

Wrong. Similar but different. The 3B with the 01A ARV 5 spd, the switch PN is 012919823A and it is located on top of the transmission above and just the back of the right side drive flange.

I failed. Too 01E-focussed. The 3B with the 01A ARV 5 spd, the switch PN is 012919823A and it is located on top of the transmission above and just the back of the right side drive flange.

No you did not I'm always impressed with your responses! So right side from the drivers seat or looking from the engine bay?

Left and right are ALWAYS from the driver's seat. So in this case, exhaust side of the 3B. (Don't burn yourself).

About where the front Item 18 is on this 01E (follow from Item 7 and go to the right on the diagram, by Items 3 and 4):

Thanks for posting. What a strange piece of kit. 012919823B was dropped on March 15, 1989. Strangely the replacement wasn't 012919823C but 012919823A (the number I posted). 012919823A was around from about 1989 to 1997 on the 01A transmissions, e.g. 1997 V6 A6q.
