So today I got a problem with my clutch on my rs2. I was driving and suddenly when i clutched the pedal went light and it started to smell like burned clutch. The fluid levels are still in spec, so I guess its not a leak on my master or slave cylinder ? Is a new clutch the next thing on my order list ?
Im no expert, but is the pedal supposed to become very much lighter when the clutch disc are gone?
There is no clutch action now, but it feels like if I could push the pedal through the floor the clutch will work i was driving hard with fast switches
Maybe the linkage between the pedal and the master cylinder pushrod has failed. This is quite common, although I wouldn't think it would make the clutch slip.
Otherwise I suspect your clutch pressure plate may be broken
The linkage has failed, but not enough to be causing this problem in my opinion. Does the linkage need to be 100% percent to be working? I can see that the "bent" linkage has caused some slack to the clutch pedal, but the amount of slack is the same as before my problem so im guessing the linkage has always been like this in my ownership. There is no leakage anywhere, and i have tryed to bleed the slave cylinder with no luck :/ clutch pressure plate then ?
