    HELP! RS2 rear CV Joint

Well how do I start this without going straight back into tourettes mode!

Last night I was trying to strip down the rear outer CV joint on my RS2 then I can get the drive shaft sandblasted and re - powder coated, inner CV joint came apart no problem (diff side) so then onto the outer OMFG! what an a*se.

Can anyone help with telling me how the hell you get the circlip out, I have tried to close it up and hit it I have tried to open it up and hit it I have even managed to get my hand in the way and hit it

I am sure there is a very simple way of doing this but its just one of those jobs where the more you think about it the worse it gets

I have enclosed picture of offending circlip.

Spread open the circlip whilst at the same time screw in the M16 drive shaft bolt back into the joint to press it off the shaft.
It's best to place the drive shaft in a vice using soft jaws if possible when tackling this.

edit: Here's a handy tool that I wasn't aware of before now. Linky.
