    small rear diff problem :(

Now I've just destroyed diff number 3 does anyone have any good suggestions for something that holds better. I use the car for 201-402 meters and daily driving

I always use the diff lock and tightens the drive line up

Weld it, its probably the lock mechanism that fails..
Or IF your driveshafts are too long.. Has happen to a friend of mine

i have wasted 5 now. mine is 4 slicks drag race only. 1.400 60' time best. >850 AWHP. i run welded center Torsen and permanently locked rear.

my first one broke because i think the lock came partially undone.

the next 3 were spider gears breaking, and the last sheared off all the teeth of the right rear output flange.

this was a spider gear shatter, took the top of the diff off. i drove it around the track and show like this afterwards, it was wrecked anyhow. first and only launch of 2014 for the car.

this was my second pass of the year this year. sheared the teeth off on the launch and it took my right towards the wall just like last years only launch.

i have done this now, and so far no issues as i removed the spiders/side gear teeth from the equation. welded two plates into the gears....

it is a wonder how some hold up, like for Tomi Paavola running 9.2x on a stock rear diff.

            hmm

            I wonder also,

there was a guy here the Denmark it drove 9 xx times with original diff just with strip on diff lock for a long time without problems

and now I have destroyed 3 without glue on the pitch

nr.1 where the four small gears jumped in pieces

nr.2 I do not think diff lock were properly in the grip

and nr.3 looks very look funny pictures coming

I'm not much to weld as it is a street car

                drive shaft ?

if they are too long then the ball joints brake ? not the diff ?
