  • Spacers and Wheel bolts

    Hi all,
I bought in error a lovely set of audi speed lines (the fake split rim type) that are for the 90 so have a ET45 offset. I have a CQ 20v with aftermarkets which don't appeal to me so was looking to change. The tyres on these are now at the end of there life so I want to sort the wheels out.

To account for the 8mm offset difference of an ET37 Wheel I need to get some spacers, 10mm is fine, but can anyone tell me what length wheel bolts I'll need? or will standard ones still be ok at this small offset?

    Many Thanks,
    Rob

You will want longer bolts. Measure your stock ones and add the spacer size to it.
From memory the stock ones are M14x1.5 x 27mm

      Wheel Bolts

Just measured the bolts are the sizes you mentioned. Im adding 10mm so il probably go for 40mm bolts as they will be easier to find than 37mm!

      Many thanks

10mm spacer and 40mm bolts will be ideal.

Make sure you get the correct radius seat

            Seat

Is it 60 degrees? Il have to get the protractor out on the original bolts!

            Cheers!

On oem wheels it is a curved (radiused) seat not a conical one

Might be a good time to consider a stud kit in place of the wheel bolts. If you are changing wheels & working with different spacers you only have to buy one set of mounting hardware.

So if I get bolts with a curved radius i should be alright then shouldn't I. As it will pull up where it needs to go.

Yes that's right - 40mm round bolts NOT tapered.
