no "OK" light on dash

Hi Some help please. Now I know it cant be much because one minute its working and now after I press the brake pedal it should do a light test and come back with an OK but not anymore. All bulbs are good the holders are clean and free from any damp, the connectors are good and just to make sure i have fitted a new brake switch but still no OK even after the rear lights have been disconnected with ignition on still have the sysmbol of the brackets with the bulb and a cross through it, put all the lights back together and still the same symbol. Bloody annoying when driving and that blaring at you any body helpout with this one or is it an expensive trip to an auto electrician. Thanks

Auto heck unit behind the spare wheel? Check for corrosion etc.

This test is only for the brake light circuit.

Get someone to check your brake lights in the dark. If one of them is a bit dimmer change the bulbs. Or just replace both brake light bulbs with new ones.
