I have no problem with mine, does well and able to make me smile, what do you find wrong with yours then?

Anyone know the speeds that are attainable in each gear from 1-5 on a 3b and 1-6 on an aby?

i was out the other night in the frost and managed to put the S2 in a ditch.
Luckely i was going too slow to cause any damage to my car which suprised me.
so i packed all my stuff and walked a freezing mile home.
went back first thing in the morning and all was well.
i went to the shop (5 mins in a car), got back and some theiving scumbags had broke into it. to nick a pair of speakers.
i saw them, so i followed them for 10mins because they didnt no it was my car, got there number plate then the recovery guy rang me so i had to stop following.
just to top it off RAC cant get a rear window in a week.
                IS IT JUST ME???

Is that the rear window with quattro in in? might know someone with one lying around. Also think azman might be closer to you think he had one iirc.

yes it is, i have a cq in the garden but they wont come and take it off. i have to take it somewhere as i dont have a garage at the mo, just lots of space.
its an insurance job i think, so if its going to cost me more than the £50 excess ill just wait

i have to take the whole of the interior out aswell because the car was pointing into the ditch head first so the glass has gone everywhere

Removing the interior is not too hard depending what your removing the rear seats are the pain but tbh if its just cleaning the glass thats easy to drop them up and down whilst hoovering.

Front seats = 1xallen key and 10mm nut with a plastic lug holiding the trim behind the seat on

rear base = 2x screws holding this in.

                          thanks alot.
i had to take the lot out as the car was pointing into the ditch head first so glass was everywhere. its evern got behind the rear pannels where the rear quater trim is, and im told this has to come out to fit the new quater window anyway.
so while there out i may as well sort my cables and dorrr pods i think

as i was saying about love and hate with the S2,
took the car to a garage for the tracking on monday and the front track ends have seized totally, so thats another cost
i parked up at my digs after work this morning, all good and well. then i set off to work and as i reversed, i heard an almighty clout from under the car, there was a brick sticking up out of the space.
i have pulled my exhaust clean apart from the turbo to down pipe

thing is, i love this car, it just doesnt seem to want me!

i'm a complete novice mechanic, things like to come off but dont like going back on.
how hard are the down pipe and track rod ends/track rods to change and how long do you think it would take. i'm still skint from christmas so i cant really afford to take it to a garage.
                            any would be very appreciated

Trackrod adjusters, you need to get a bit of heat on them and some mole grips, when you've got them apart grease them up with copper grease so they dont seize up again, then take it back to the tracking place.

Downpipe, not sure, depends whats come apart, hopefully just broken bolts? If so ten minute job to bolt it back up again, there's a big fat tapered ring which goes between the 2 flanges, make sure you havent lost this in the road somewhere.
