I know about psi and all, but stock map and bar.....fill me in.
As Newsh said, BAR is the metric mesasurement unit of pressure (as opposed to PSI which is imperial, meaning pounds per square inch - 1Bar is standard atmospheric pressure).

Stock Map - that's the term for the settings in the engine's computer (ECU) which defines what timing, fuelling etc the engine should be running at various throttle positions, rpms etc. The map needs to be re-programmed when you change big things like the turbo to allow the engine to be optimised for the new hardware...

Are you in the USA? if not you need to alter your profile settings in User CP

Take some pics of the engine bay, turbo, manifold etc. and post them up.

You need to establish what kind of K26 it is, you might have a very good turbo, you might not. Also on a 3B (91-92 S2 with distributor ignition) you need to have changed the head gasket for the later metal one and the big end shells for the RS2 type before going for over 300hp, if you want to go high 300s to 400+ you'll need steel rods. Your setup, if its a decent turbo, tweeked and properly mapped should really fly.

1 Bar is atmospheric pressure = approx 14.5psi.
My car with an RS2 turbo, manifolds, injectors and custom map is running 28psi (Nearly 2 Bar of boost)
I might have a boost leak somewhere. The guy that built the car went the cheap way and PVC piped everything! I know Ive lost power b/c of that. PVC piping has tons of curves and edges that stick up inside the piping. Air cant flow that great with restricktions.
I do have a Bar gauge but it reads almost 5 all day long. Now if my gut serves me right, that cant be right! WGFV.....is that Waste Gate something Valve? Ive got an external waste gate as well.

I am in the USA. I'll try and get some pictures up soon. I dont have a camera so I will have to borrow one. Im not sure if the turbo is good or not. But I do belive the k26 wont take me into the 10's as planned. I found a GT3071R with an intercooler for $1500. I should have grabbed it.

I'll add steel rods to my list of parts to get. Thanks.

I thought I would just ask everyones oppinion on the subject. I went to an automotive tech school my last 2 years of high school. I had a blast learning a few things. One trait that I know I can perform is porting. Would anyone object to me porting my head? I dont know anything about this car yet so I would be a little afraid of just hacking away on one of the most expensive parts on my car. Is my head worth porting or should I get something else? I know ive got the 20v head but are there different ones that will perform better?

Its well worth porting the head and can make a good improvement. it is possible to convert the 7A heads to fit by adding a few bits but there is little need if you have a good head already which you can port

Well if I ever get around to buying the tools, I will port then. Do you know if there is any room for bigger valves?

The Bar guage down below is the oil pressure, note it has a little picture of an oil can on it? 5 Bar is good for oil pressure.

If you really do have an S2 it may be the only one in the US.

But it could be a hybrid, K26/27 for example.

If in fact its a stock turbo of some kind and if in fact its from an Audi at all??

My WR has a K26 but its not a stock WR turbo, its a hybrid. Has to be said though, the stock K26 is not a good turbo choice for the 20v engine.
