If you intend to mod it i would say look for one with as many already done as possible, otherwise you end up paying a real premium for an untouched OEM example and have to pay for all the mods.

If your really considering buying an s2 then there are a few things to think about. First off, just because its low milage doesn't mean its going to be any better.
There is plenty of 150k++ s2s out there that are in better mechanical nick then a 65k one with FSH.

You can pick up a pretty decent S2 be it coupe or avant for £3000, they pop up all the time and its worth waiting around till one comes up that your happy with.

If i were you i would not spend £6500 on an s2, not a standard one anyway. Its just not feasible to spend that much extra money just because the milage is less. Also it will never hold its value, where as a £3000 one most likely will.

Have a look through the for sale section on here, so many have been sold and it should give you an idea of what you can get for your money..

          Enjoy

            Welcome

As above, I wouldnt worry about the mileage atall if its got good history and been well cared for.
Some say they are not at their best until its done 150k!
Mine is at 178k and pulls like a train, no smoke, perfect oil pressures etc

The S2 supposedly runs and runs and runs, even with stellar miles on them, but surely buying a 180k one then running it for two years means it's going to have a mileage of 200k ish.
The 61k one will be at 80k ish, and considerably easier to sell....?
