    Hello everyone from newbie

Hi Everyone, its my first S2 and loving the experince. I am also a TVR owner and I hope this forum is as good as the TVR car club forum. I bought the S2 as an everyday drive car and its blummin quick leaves my Chimaera for dead, even the S2 sound is awsome there is a nice wine from the engine like a supercharger then the turbo dump fantastic, almost better than the V8 but close, its a different animal and I love it.

I bought it through the guy who services my trevor in newark. I said I was after a fast estate car wow, so he pionted me to his friend who had an S2 for sale but he had spent afew quid converting it into an RS2, because back in the 90's he could not get hold of one, so he modded this. Is has about 350 bhp, but as the graph is afew years old I am not so sure, but wont be far off as it leaves my TIV and thats got 250bhp so good bench mark I suppose. looking to go to some meets and chat to some like minded people who are enthuasiastic about these cars, they are defo wolfs in sheeps clothing. With 35,000 on the clock the guy has hardly used it and just wanted someone else to own her and use her with the respect the car deserves, theres nothing like then on the roads for me including those AMG's and M5 estates they have no character these modern cars, well i have said my piece, hope to keep this car in the good nick that former keeper has, seems a great forum with loads of helpful people.

9,500,Quit abit I think from the prices I have seen on pistonheads, but I think it was worth the extra few grand as I knew the former keeper and you need trust when buying a car like this and i was not willing to risk buying one off PH or another forum and getting a dog, without knowing about these very special cars.

Hope you have many happy years in your new motor. The price you paid was a little steep but with that mileage am guessing its worth every penny low mileage ones like that are impossible to find

Welcome!! Looks like a very nice car! Question is, how much more are you going to spend?! If you hadn't planned on it, being on this forum will change that!

Welcome and very nice example of an S2/RS2 half bread. And as @willg54 says, staying about here will make you spend on new things without thinking as iv noticed in my short ownership already.

I can see the term moneypit, being used wrongly of course, hate that word on something you want to to spend your hard earned cash on, but thanks for the comments, I will be looking for all the advice and help needed to keep these priceless cars on the road. I can see me spending money cant help it. I will have to keep my eyes and ears open for any meetings in the midlands area. I posted that video of the "lucky escape" on the East mids TVR forum, they loved it.
