    Hi there

        Biggs!

What kind of "not running" does your car have?

Hi all thanks for the warm welcome

I will definitely get pictures up, once I've got it running.. I'm sure you will all give me the seal of approval.. Feel really disheartened ATM with it not running hence no pics

          The issues I'm having

Initially I thought ECU, after speaking to a really helpful guy named James we came to the conclusion that the motronik ecus were bullet proof so to speak and it could well be the crank position sensor that needs replacing

I'm on my way to purchase a CPS sensor tomorrow, however when I crank it immediatly blows the lambda heating fuse #25 and with the lambda disconnected it doesn't. I'm under the impression that the car would still start if the lambda was disconnected? Another point I can note is that I can't hear the fuel pump prime, however I checked the fuel relay/fuse no problems there, I've read somewhere that the CPS sensor sends signal to ecu to supply fuel? Am I right in thinking so?

The only other problem I have is that the fan stays on constantly and relay gets quite hot, I'm thinking this is just the relay

Any help would be much appreciated and welcome, I'm pulling my hair out with the S2 just sitting there..

          Many thanks

Predominantly I just want to get the car started, being pessimistic I'm thinking it still not going to start once I've put in the new cps sensor, what should I move on to if it turns out as such?

Sorry I've just copied and pasted this out of my other thread, I'm at work with my phone under my desk- get caught big trouble lol

            Hi All,

Pictures, as promised and much overdue..

Car is running now, got some minor hiccups (I hope to sort out soon!) otherwise great.

a very Big thanks to everyone who helped me out on this one!

your help is very much appreciated!

            You know who you are!

sorry for poor quality it was getting dark, pics are from iphone!

Opinion required please; Do you think i should keep these alloys on (17'' Kahns) or go for the standard Avus phase 2 16'' ABY alloys.. which ive got a set of!

its crying out for some elipsoides I know and cant afford

            Thanks

                I'll second that.

                No to the Kahns.

Your right re the headlights, start saving, or check the breakers for late model B4 cabrios.
