Morning all.
My wr urq is up for sale after some 5 years of fun, now i'm looking for an s2 avant. Any advise on things to look for/avoid would be greatly appreciated, either mechanical or body/trim related.
If you have a bit of money get in touch with Big Lee M on here as he has a nice one for sale. Alternatively get in touch with KnightRiderS4 as I also think he has one for sale mind you that one is probably gone now. Oh and good luck as they are difficult to come buy these days.
Cheers Lads,
Wasn't expecting replies that quickly!!
By the way, Rusty- what mod's??? I want to keep her as standard as poss!!?????
Always loved the urq, but looking for something less lairy.
Tony.
Knight Riders one used to be owned by a few members on here so is in great condition with subtle mods like no chrome and a remap and a nice exhaust so nothing major. Still looks fairly OG but is tasty from what I hear. Lees Avant is also very nice and has an RS2 front bumper and polly bushes and the map and exhaust. Both very nice in my opinion.
Hi Knight Rider,
The ad for my urq is on Quattroforum (to save me typing it out again). Not a showroom model, but still a proper head-turner, cos she is painted Nissan Mystic Green (Deep. Deep Met green, turning bronze in sunlight). Not everyones cup-of-tea, but I'm still in love.
I thought I recognised the photo of your s2avant on pistonheads- have been watching for a few days now. Biggest prob is distance, cos I'm between j34/j35 M4 south Wales.
If you want one your gonna have to travel dude... I drove a fgair way to get mine. From Herts to Kent. previously I had travelled to Bangor to get a car too but if its the right one its worth travelling for other wise you arent gonna get one at all....

We all start out like that but then the forum brainwashes you... bank balance goes down; power goes up...
Look out for a car with some upgraded brakes and rebuilt suspension, as they're the real weak points on these cars. A remap is essential kit too The engine just needs oil, filters and plugs to keep it going to way over 200k and beyond. The same for most of the rest of it.

I flew up to Inverness for mine! With the s2, you need to be prepared to travel! And i can vouch for what the guys are saying, be prepared for your wallet to get very light! but atleast it reduces the weight in the car then and you can go even faster with a bigger smile because of the beautiful 5 pot song...how i miss that noise! not long now
