Hello, New to this forum, not new to Audi's ;) (PICS)

    Hello Everyone,

I am an Audi enthusiast and i have a project underway on my ur-quattro. The project has been stalled for many years due to a business venture I started six years ago... after waiting so long i am re-starting my project.

the car started life as a 1983 Ur-Quattro, Helios Blue. WR Engine.

Modifications (before shipping the car to Germany, lots of parts stolen off the car in shipping):
-Intended Acceleration 270+ HP Chip, wastegate, turbo kit (note: this is unverified power figure)
    -modified CIS system
    -metal air filter
-modified gearing front and rear differentials
    -2Bennet Coil-over Springs
    -2Bennet 305mm Big Brake kit
    -Stebro Exhaust
    -Azev 9 x 16 (no center cap)
    -A2 Rear Spoiler
-A2 original Sport Hood(damaged in shipping), i sold it on ebay, i bought two other ones from "reputable" companies in Germany.....and have been working on them ever since..... looking to buy another one if someone knows of a good quality one (i am a bit of a perfectionist and details are extremely important to me.... it is a disease i have)
    -Recaro SRD seats
    -Recaro cloth-covered rear seats
-Rieger Front Bumper, modified heavily to URQ style (not one surface is the same as when i got the original part), i also made an intercooler opening, and Air intake opening
-Hella later Style headlights with HID (stolen in shipping), already found new ones (but looking for HID system, I might butcher an entire A4 b8 system
-Frankani rear tailights and center lense (stolen in shipping), already found new ones
    -Flush mounted door handles
-Flush mounted Audi TT gas cap
-Updated Dash, and Door panels to later style
-Car is now painted Carbon Black

The car currently went through an extensive tear down and has had the entire body painted (again), differential, transmission has been renewed (no rebuilding necessary)....the engine....well, i was trying to keep it, i posted many places about the 10v motor and the tuning potential....i kept getting the 034 efi recommendation, engine swap recommendation, or...the don't do anything recommendation, etc, etc.... but i was too stubborn and wanted to modify the 10v because it was such a nice engine and i thought i could get more out of it... after a few frustrating months, the bills are adding up for the 10v motor rebuild:
    head repair estimate: 800 euros
    turbo repair: 680 euro (paid)
block repair and crankshaft balancing, honing cylinders, bearing shells, pistion rings, etc, estimate: 600 euros

i realized...before all is said and done i will be well over 2,500 euros..... so i started to second guess this path that i had chosen..... and then a really rare opportunity came up, an ADU engine with less then 100,000 km on the clock! needless to say, I jumped on it....

now, my project is turning into a 20v engine swap,
    the plan is:
-K26 turbo (haven't decided on the exact spec)
    -short intake manifold
-Front mounted intercooler, maybe an RS2 or something slightly bigger... i am going to try and fit this between the radiator support and the motor (this will be fun)
-i have all the necessary parts with the RS2 motor besides the ecu (anyone know where i can get one....about 300 or so euros?)
-exhaust system is already 3" throughout

-i am keeping my 5-speed (even though i have the 6-speed spare from the RS2)

i know this has all been done before... but i am going to do it again!

pics 1 and 2, were back in NY, USA before the car had the lights mounted
pics 3 and 4, was in Germany, after all parts were fitted and before it went to the paintshop
pics 5 and 6, at the paintshop, sanding and primer on parts
pics 7, 8 and 9, being reassembled after painting. I am having many problems with the Sport Hood and am most likely going to have it remade by a modeler unless anyone knows a good one.... note: this is my third one... i can honestly say that i do not think a good one exists on the market.

I believe in asking opinions, and for help... i think it helps improve on everyone's understanding.... including mine... most times i have my own ideas in mind, but i do like to ask to see if i am missing something or, in most cases, if there is new useful information out there that i can use.

    -Ben

PS i will be having a major fire sale of all new 10v parts i bought and no longer need....
    PPS i am looking for:
    an ecu,
short intake manifold (i can get a new one for under 500)

Thanks for the comments!! So you know, i am very open to "constructive" criticism....so don't hesitate, especially if you think i am doing something wrong and/or there is a better way.

I had many problems with sandblasting, and this was pointed out clearly with the help of others, so thanks in advance!

Also, Should i move this to the Projects section?

By the looks of your spoilers you are going for fast Autobahn sessions a lot? Need downforce?
