Shame about the door, gutted for you, but it's nothing that cannot be overcome. A very nice find and I like the story of the impromptu call and cash offer. Congrats.

    As for values..

I know somebody who bought a green 3B coupe under similar circumstances in Sheffield. The milkman told a friend, who told another friend who went round and knocked on the door. Got it for a price I dare not repeat! The private plate was worth more than the car, fully loaded and low mileage too

That's Emerald green, I have one the same colour

Looks like a really tidy example, the lack of condensation on the inside of the windows suggests it's dry one, you'll soon come to learn this is a major bonus with a Coupe. Also the wheels look mint which would suggest someone once cherished the car and had them refurbished properly instead of being done on the cheap and coated silver all over as is so often the case.

Without more info it's very hard to put a value on, could be anywhere between £2K to £5K+ for an exceptional example, I suspect you got a bargain. Did you get the original service schedule and any other history with the car, is it HPI clear and how many miles has it covered?

More pic's would be great, especially of the interior and under the bonnet.

Please be careful starting the engine if it's not been run in eight years, at a minimum I'd change the oil+filter and the cam belt before turning the key.

to the forum. Colour is definitely Emerald green. Great find you have there,i'm sure you'll enjoy recommissioning it ready for an MOT and the road.I love finds like this as although they need quite a lot of work immediately, things like cam belts, thermostats, possibly some sensors one being the MFTS, maybe an exhaust, discs pads etc you'll end up with a very nice car.

I would at least take of the cam belt cover and look at the belt. You never know it may have been replaced just before it was laid up. One of my cars i am breaking now i got Audi to renew mine nearly 8 years ago but it's only covered 1k miles and its still in perfect as new condition. If yours is like that then you should be alright to turn over the car by hand whilst looking at the belt,if it all looks fine i.e. not cracked i wouldn't worry starting it up, but don't rev it! Just get it running up to temperature,so you can see if all is working and drop the old oil out and put in a decent quality 5W - 40 or 10w - 40 fully synthetic oil. When time and funds allow renew the cam belt, tensioner, water pump etc and get her ready for an MOT. Once you have done 1k miles drop the new oil out because you used it like a flushing oil which is sensible imo and put some fresh Fuch Titan Race Pro S 5 - 40 in and and enjoy the car.

Looking forward to more pics and progress.
