  • 996 conversion - part no.?

    Hi,

Can anybody provide the correct A8 disc part no.?
The correct RS2 bracket part no.?
The correct RS2 brake line part no.?
Which pads preferbly with a part no.?

Is there an alternative to the RS2 brackets? They seem a bit expensive.

I got the 996 calipers part no. 996.351.425/426

Perhaps if I get an answer we could put this in the sticky thread

    Cheers

Seat Ibiza Cupra R Brackets - Part number - 6KL 615 421 - They need machining to suit your choice of disc.
Depends on your wheel size as to which disc you will be able use. 16" Avus wheels use 314mm disc - 323mm for anything bigger. A8 disc with 60mm hat height. I wouldn't buy them from Audi as aftermarket discs are avaiable from Brembo and if they make the calipers, why not have their discs?
RS2 Hardlines - audi dealer or get your local braided hose place to make you up some flexi hoses.
I'm not going down the road of which pads are the best. Standard 996 pads are textar and they are £45 a pair from GSF.

Bry: could you supply machined brackets and to which price?

4WheelDrifter: I have looked to this thread but tells me nothing of the part no. and since I get everything very cheap at audi, this would be nice

How about S8 disc in 323x30 which part no. should I get?

        Cheers

Only if you can't get them from anywhere else. I really don't have the time to do them anymore.
After you have paid the purchase price, machining costs and then postage costs, you could get them done locally for less, and faster too.
I have never bought the discs from Audi, so can't supply the Audi part number.
Brembo part number for the 323mm discs is 60297.

I can find this part no. for a S8 disc in 323x30 "4D0 615 301 J" it is about 100 euro pr disc.

THe RS2 brackets have the part no. "8A0 615 125 A" and I can get them for around 60 euro a piece.

            The RS2 hardlines have the no. "8A0 611 722" and "8A0 611 721" and they are 16 euro a piece.

So all I need now are some sort of Porsche pads or textar or something?

            Cheers

Bry just one question, are the RS2 brackets, the S8 disc, the rs2 hardlines and the 996 calipers a straight fit? Meaning will I have to machine something or will the rs2 calipers fit without a problem on a 17" rim?

              Cheers

                Or this thread

I think the RS2 brackets are a straight fit with the 323 disc

You will have to grind the pins or push them back a couple of mm to clear the disc.

Oh yes, I paid about half that money for the Brembo discs.

Then I guess I might as well but the RS2 bracket from audi instead, comes out cheaper then 95+vat.
