As car alarms go theives with a bit of brains can go get alarm standard layouts to find which wires to cut and rip out the siren. Its all a bit complicated but basically from what I've been told by the guy who did my alarm if they want your car they will have it wether they drive it away or put it on the back of a trailer.
The important thing about when your car gets nicked is time cus, if they're after your parts then from the time it was stolen it could be in boxes in a matter of hours. Or worse on fire.
So act quick basically and don't expect much from the police as they only care if someone was hurt or involoved, not property a.k.a your S2.
Shirish I am gutted for you, those people are f*cking ****ers. Nothing would please me more than to see them flail hammered alive into small pieces ...but it still won't bring the RS2 back, winding back in time to when it was all ok would please me more. Would still flail hammer the b*stards that did this though.

It's not better than sex, but it runs it a close second.

would explain more but I'm at work...
yeah.... agreed..but then they have to de immobilise the car...and if they are pushed for time ???.......50,000 volts steering wheel locks like they have in south africa is where its at IMO :mischeif:
Oh BTW, in terms of getting into the car, i found the passenger side door lock on my driveway, with the surrounding trim in pieces.
I don't think there's anyway of protecting this area really as its integral to the door - apart from a Veedub style handle removed/smoothed over look - not great on a four door car.
Dirty w4nkers Don't see the point in that Hope the insurance claim all goes through quick and painless Shirish.
As an aside, when I have advertised my cars, I always use my work number and mobile phone numbers. When I arrange any viewings with potential buyers , I always use an excuse that I am busy and that it will have to be at work, or a near relative were the car will be......
Just remembered I am with the same broker/underwriter as you, so I will be interested to see the outcome. They sounded like a decent bunch when I was talking to them anyway. I can't remember how I got recommended to them now........
Dunno what to say really, those people are truely scummers. And I just refurbed my calipers and wheels so was gonna PM you and Dean about a meet with the rs4 boys from RS246.com.....
It started so beautifully at Thames Barrier Park and its come to this.
