Sold, they were too wide with spacers that I required to clear the brakes

So gone for the more OEM look for a while

Tonight's little update....

I initially had a roof lining that was painted black, eventually I managed to get a genuine black headlining with genuine black pillar trims.

I then eventually managed to get a set of genuine black roof grab handles and then fitted each handle with the Audi light. The lights where then upgraded to Cree chip led bulbs so now my car is like daylight inside at night.

However I was making do with the sunroof panel just painted and it never looked very good.



Recently the retaining clip on one side has given up the ghost and broken off.
I was very very pleased when after a considerable wait I have now managed to get hold of a brand new panel for the preselect style roof in genuine black



I just need a black roof light now and it will all be done

Where you get you led bulbs?

Unfortunately there is not anymore it was a very expensive lucky eBay purchase. The bulbs however are very cheap and are available on eBay.

They were something along the lines of this but take your bulb out and measure the length first before buying....

Wheels really suit the car! Did you ever find out if there was a special way to set up the pre-select sunroof?

There was a special sequence for it to work correctly. However it did not work on mine because in the end I found that the glass sunroof had rotted enough to cause it to be hard to open and shut.

This eventually made the motor faulty.
So I cleaned up the sunroof as best as I could fitted a new motor and it all works.

I have a genuine solar sunroof that needs some attention, once I manage to restore that as best as I can that will be going in

Was it just a case of removing the glass and cleaning up the runners and cables? Mine seems to slide open slightly then full tilt then stop slightly slid open and repeats this procedure no matter where the switch is positioned.

Yes mate that was pretty much all I did along with swapping the motor
