i know but i thought while i am gettting the exhaust done i saw they did intercoolers and so on............! that how it ended up to this qoute! is it a good qoute?

well i was told thats stock interials whould be good for 500bhp anything more then change interals!

Apparently rods bend after 400+lb\ft torque and pistons ok after 500+bhp
but i think it depends if you get loads of torque low down in the revs ,
back me up Jamo.Better to be safe with an 8k engine imo

8k engine build with stock rods? WALK AWAY.

Any change in turbo, even the RS2 should have new rods. Modern turbo's can generate enough torque to make monkeys of the stock rods.

Especially with Scat rods being so cheap.

Pistons are very strong the only issue with stock pistons is the high CR but this is easily resolved with a compression ratio dropping head gasket down to 8.5 for safety reasons.
