And the brake wear indicator is on and its got new pads all round... the brakes arn't to bad tbh...not too high on my priority and the discs arnt worn
Difficult to diagnose it from just those symptoms - you'll know a lot more once you've pulled any fault codes from the ECU. Could be anything from a faulty MAF, boost leak, bad knock sensor, gunked up fuel filter, etc. to a dying coil pack. Post back once you've got the fault codes and I'm sure the forum will help you decipher it

Out of interest, what figures are you seeing on the LCD boost gauge? You should see around 1.0 with the ignition on, around 0.6 at idle, around 2.0 at full boost, and around 0.3 on overrun.

From what I remember, the pad wear sensors are only on the front, but they are *not* integral to the pads (they're an extra item that's fitted to the new pad). They are also a bit pricey too, so it's entirely possibly that new pads were put on without new sensors - hence the warning?

I'd say you've got a boost leak, hence the overboost cutout (kangaroo behaviour) You need to do a pressure test really but look around for any oil weeping around the hoses between the turbo and the inlet manifiold and all the little small bore vacuum hoses . Ideally fit a samco boost hose kit.

Get the car running as it should with 220 hp or so then you have a good solid base to start the modding.

            And welcome!

Wrong part of the country, I know, but I'd recommend these two.

Heard a lot of great stuff about THIS place.

I got me cat bypass 3" done HERE. I was very impressed and it sounds glorious.

Has anyone used Top Gear in basingstoke? They do a similar thing. They did the exhaust on my scirocco and did a good job too but that was some time ago

And the brake wear indicator is on and its got new pads all round..
If the pad wear indicators wiring is broken somewhere after the pad and before autocheck the autocheck thinks the pad is down to minimium thickess. You can connect the two wires together. And then the autocheck will be forever.
