    ?

Modern electronics and a slipper clutch can do special things for a 1 wheel drive machine, and just think, if you fook up, your car will have a few dints, next time you drive down the motorway at, 70 MPH !!!!, imagine that you open the door, and then throw yourself out, with leathers and a helmet, would you even think about it ???.. I am now 49, ridden motorcycles for 37 years, I have seen the hate from car drivers, why the fook is that ?, would love to have a honest answer

      Honest answer?
Maybe its the way some of them seem to think they have the right to force their way between you and on coming traffic and generally be ****ing dangerous?!
Its one thing to have a play on an empty road, we've all done it, but when you start involving other traffic as mobile chicanes it gets rather annoying to say the least!!!

I think you'll find there are **** heads driving around on all methods of transport.

I only had to do a few laps of the nurburgring to wonder why on earth someone with just mm's of leather between them and the outside world would come past me at 120mph leaving a 30cm gap. I know who would come off worse if we so much as touched.

What most car drivers dont appreciate IMO is the acceleration and speed of a bike, same for the s2 really. Generally i find the best method is to give them space and let them round if they look like they want to... keeps everyone out of trouble.

My old man has ridden bikes for years had R1's TL1000's KTM, and all sorts of other things. I respect most of the bikers, plus i used to work in a pub that catered for them so i know alot of bikers.BUT when they are up you backside only feet from your rear bumper for no reason what so ever with there head light in your mirror. That really annoys me just think it could be an old lady or a nerves driver who could do something stupid cause they are watching for the idiot up there 4753!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just some finishing touches to do now

Since my bike (2004 R1) can pull away from a GT3 RS up Kesellchen, I'd say its probably a matter of bottle, as you say, with the car all you have to do is put fuel in it and sit in a big safe tin box pushing the floor with your foot

PS Audi S2 = very safe tin box

Agreed, rule number one on a bike is stay well clear of cars, they're dangerous, if only the car drivers on the Ring all obeyed the same rule. You have to wonder as well
why on earth someone with just mm's of leather between them and the outside world
would ride on the Ring in the first place, surrounded by cars and armco, but I tell ye its one hell of a buzz..

You are right, I agree, but when I have been on my old classic Honda CB750 ( 1972 ), and had a wealthy young man in a new Porsche ( 911 shape ), follow me for 2-3 miles with his lights on full beam, arrived at some traffic lights, shouts, you want a race you 2 wheel W-----, my answer, NO, he did not know what to say, lights turn green and drove off ( slow ).. never did understand ?, think I am getting very old LOL

I've got a classic too, 1952 Triumph Thunderbird, handy for not racing young men in Porsches (or S2s for that matter) If older means safer thats no bad thing

Best "experience" I had with a bike against me in the S2 was a good run home from work, he couldn't shake me and he gave me a very well respected thumbs up for a "clean drive".

Worst one was a suicidal biker taking the racing line on a right hand bend as I was approaching the same bend in the opposite direction (hence a left hander for me) ...his wheels were inside the white lines but his head was perilously close to decapitation on my right front fender...

I know quite a few bikers and they're fine and have a honest respect for the RS2 as a fine machine. I have the same for thier bikes, the difference being they could make the 2 go fast and when I'm on a bike I fall off.
Its' a natural skill I've always had.
                        Cheers
