Sometimes is better not driving a quattro in snow, but this is only in case you dont know how to drive it and if you dont have a winter tyres. Here is some fun from last year:
Valjo using S2 to pull my A6 out (I was too low)

That was S2 clearing the road in front.

Thats one of the best fun you can have with your quattro. Buy a winter tyres and dont be chicken. Do the ice training before you gor and then just find a monuntain road.S2+AAN in progress (again), BMW 3 compactComment

We need a culture shift in the UK.
Winter wheels/tyres are a great idea
Only problem is storage and the fact that most years we don't have seasons it's just damp all year round, we don't get to practise driving in these conditions.
Last night I came round a corner slooooowly the back end swung out, I had a parked car on the left that I could not risk hitting so I had to aim the other way and and try to stop. Did well to hit the plastic post which is designed to snap because behind it was a big metal one that was not.
Went back to claim the post but it had gone, pikes I suppose
That mountain road looks scary

I had a bit of fun today, covered about 20 miles in the S2. I'd have got the Golf out of it's parking space, but the S2 has been staying too clean in the garage and I thought it could do with a bit of action. It was good fun and I used the diff lock a few times. Always fun to blip it and get the back end out and swing around a roundabout
I had no issues climbing the ramp outta the work carpark that various other cars were struggling with this evening, even with my fat summer tyres. When I've got the spare cash I'm definitely getting some tatty 17's with some 195 winter rubber.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

Is it a RS2 front bumper or a normal S2 one ?
If its a S2 one I do have one for sale.
Good effort on the repair though, NO messing around there !

I know it sounds silly but even when I have started to fix my car I feel better, as though your not beat
I can't imagine just leaving it there and delaying fixing it I would feel progressively worse !
cheers
