NO its not! I bet you wanted one when a kid! too expensive for most 12 year olds!
I moaned for weeks to get a Tamiya quattro. I still have the remains (why do we break everything when stupid kids?!).
My nephew has just started with a nitro truck. Got my old nitro car out. Forgot I'd put twice the size engine in it should have! I had a good chuckle at my 14 year old self!
Sand scorcher was top priced Tamiya back in the day!
Go on buy one and do a build thread!

God that makes me feel 12 again! I LOVED that and had to settle for a "Grasshopper" in the end, but did fit the uprated "540" motor!
Do it!

£350 is relitivly cheap for rc car, ive got a Kyosho MP7.5 kanai edition, ive had for around 10+ years and must have spend £800-1000 on the damn thing, but i get it out arond xmas times and i feel 10 again and they still make spares and hop ups for it...
The sand scorcher in the link that was recently re released was on piston heads a while ago, Tamiya had a full size replica made identical to the model

I was a little earlier, it was all model aircraft, mostly rubber powered and gliders as everything else was so expensive, I remember saving up for my first glow plug motor, a DC Bantam, took weeks and weeks. My mum reckoned I cried when we came out of the shop cos I'd spent all my money, about 30shillings (£1.50
). I wanted a radio control plane so bad it hurt but never got one, eventually I made my own single channel Tx and Rx and bulit a plane for it but never really got into it as motorbikes and girls arrived on the scene

Oh good, it's not just me then
@Ken, can you see if you can beat that price? They are a limited edition though so they may not want to budge.sigpic
