Definitely the noise from the 3" turbo-back at the moment, now I'm using the car as a daily driver! Will be sorted, albeit in a couple of months now I've decided to keep the Golf as my 'Station hack' for the summer as soon as I sort the leaky alloy wheel

Well my dissliking of them started a couple of months after fitting them. On braking I would get a realy bad vibration in the steering which was worped discs had them skimmed did the same again with in a month or so. Bit the bullet and bought new discs at £150 a disc . These discs were the Porsche 993 twin turbo 2 price bell and rotor jobies which had custom bells to fit the s2 all bought as a kit from the place we can't talk about anymore . Same thing happened again which the reason for this turned out to be the32mm discs are just to wide for the mono blocks . Changed to the 323mm a8discs and ever since then have had constant noise from the brakes . I have tried both textar and ds2500 pads have the anti rattle shims in they don't do Any thing .I have to constantly take them apart and clean them out. Pistons are all free air all bleed out but still the noise I can't stop it . So that is why I hate my brakes

Sounds like you've had every known problem at once! The noise is a PITA, it's a combination between slightly misaligned brakes and can be made worse with weak wheel bearings. That said, mine were OK for a while after replacing the WBs but are not a little noisey. Just part of the fun... I once did Bristol to Sheffield with my left foot on the brake to stop the noise, quite entertaining... not.

discs warped and cost a ridiculous amount to replace

not just as simple as slapping some a8's on there

                                Sorry Rich

NOTICE: To all who bought VDO boost gauges - Please all read the small print where it states that HPmuirt cannot be held responsible for anyone forgetting to look out of the big windowy shaped thingy at the front, following the fitment of a VDO GB boost gauge.

You will also notice that the small print also states that HPmuirt cannot be held responsible for anything, since having a mental age of 12 he is immune from prosecution

                                Cheers n
