It'll be charging up on the driveway, with a big fat bright blue outdoor power cable running into the car, so hopefully i'll notice.

I use a Ctek and its brill, I chopped the end of the lead and put a cigarette socket on so you charge via the cigarette socket or aux socket.

As standard all the 3 CTEK chargers I bought came with both the 2 eyelet battery terminal lead and a cigarette lighter plug. The main lead from the charger has an interchangeable fitting which allows either lead to be attached.

It's worth nipping in to Aldi every so often they do one that looks exactly like the Ctek but different colours and its about £12 they don't sell them all the time though.
again I've used them for years on cars and bikes

I use the Halfords Maintenance chargers in the single power plug, only £22 and nice and neat will various waterproof fittings. Have four of them on the go with no problems for years.

I installed the ctek xs3600 last night with the permanent battery rings. I had to extend that cable to fit in the foot, as the one that came as only about 6 inches long, but it seems to work a treat!

I have fitted the additional battery terminals and 2 way plug to mine under the rear. All you have to do is lean into the rear of the car and plug it in where the back seat meets the chassis. Trail the lead out of the drivers door and plug it in.

Even easier if you use a cigarette lighter plug (either the harness from Ctek or make your own, the plugs cost less than £2). Then all you have to do is to plug it in the cigarette lighter socket and charge away.
I run a 4kg 14amp battery in the RS2, and use the car only occasionally, so the CTEK is plugged in pretty much constantly.

                  For all:
Remember to plug the charge lead (or alligator clips) to the battery before you turn on the charger. This to avoid voltage spikes.

Just fitted mine to the Coupe... Leads are just long enough for the plug to pop out under the rear seat...

Bent the metal lip straight as so to avoid trapping the leads when I re fitted the rear seat...

Lets hope this will stop the battery going flat all the time!!

Mine seems pretty hot also, it left a nice hole in the snow/ice on the rear glass when i had the charger sat on the shelf

I've got it sat on the metal cover (removed the carpet) in the boot now.

Thread revival, are people just leaving the device in the car or using outside connections and long leads with the device in the house or garage

my dads 996 turbo and 993 c2 both sit for months on end on ctek trickle chargers and when they do go out they always start first time.
