As standard all the 3 CTEK chargers I bought came with both the 2 eyelet battery terminal lead and a cigarette lighter plug. The main lead from the charger has an interchangeable fitting which allows either lead to be attached.Comment

It's worth nipping in to Aldi every so often they do one that looks exactly like the Ctek but different colours and its about £12 they don't sell them all the time though.

Even easier if you use a cigarette lighter plug (either the harness from Ctek or make your own, the plugs cost less than £2). Then all you have to do is to plug it in the cigarette lighter socket and charge away.Another Ctek user here. They are the dogs danglies. Intelligent, easy to use, safe.
I have fitted the additional battery terminals and 2 way plug to mine under the rear. All you have to do is lean into the rear of the car and plug it in where the back seat meets the chassis. Trail the lead out of the drivers door and plug it in.

I run a 4kg 14amp battery in the RS2, and use the car only occasionally, so the CTEK is plugged in pretty much constantly.
For all:
Remember to plug the charge lead (or alligator clips) to the battery before you turn on the charger. This to avoid voltage spikes.1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)

Just fitted mine to the Coupe... Leads are just long enough for the plug to pop out under the rear seat...
Bent the metal lip straight as so to avoid trapping the leads when I re fitted the rear seat...
Lets hope this will stop the battery going flat all the time!!Comment

Received the charger today....
I have put him to work...and seems that is going hot..pretty much.
Is this normal?
Thank you!Comment

Mine seems pretty hot also, it left a nice hole in the snow/ice on the rear glass when i had the charger sat on the shelf
I've got it sat on the metal cover (removed the carpet) in the boot now.S2Forum.com AdministratorComment

Thread revival, are people just leaving the device in the car or using outside connections and long leads with the device in the house or garageComment
