Its full on down here in Surrey again, I've been out most of the day, first borrowed my mates 2.8 A6 Avant quattro cos it has a tow bar and I had to take the trailer to pick up a go kart. There was a tanker run off the road onto the roundabout at the top of the road From my place to Cranleigh on the back roads there was about 6" of virgin snow, saw one or 2 other vehicles, couple of landrovers.. Did the pick up down a long windy lane at the bottom of a hill, no other vehicles moving, managed to miss the entrance to the place and had to reverse the trailer into a farm gateway, got home fine, straight up hills with abandoned cars at the bottom . After lunch swapped back to the ur to do some shopping went from Dorking to Guildford on the A25 which was still really slippy (more abandonned cars on the steep bits), only very few people out, Guildford was great you could just park anywhere in the street, overtaking normal cars with the centre diff locked, totally brilliant, what a car. Oh yeah and on normal tyres too.

We had a couple of inches in Swindon last night, drove out this morning and it was a bit hairy. Coming home a couple of hours later it was mostly clear... went out again tonight, a couple more inches and much worse than this morning! Temps down to about -5 now, pretty icy out there. Driving outta Asda car park was power-induced oversteer galore :mischeif:

Got the winters ready on a spare set of Avus, I would have loved to try them today but both the S2s are in bits, didn't think it was worth fitting them to the ur for a couple of days, especially as the offset is about 15mm out, hoping the avant will be back together early next week

It has to be said 4wd and winter tyres do make me kinda unstoppable in the UK anyway. Gotta love those Bridgestone A0001 's . The grip is astonishing. Sadly Audi still in bits but Scooby is working fine.
