roks told a couple of mods about this so it would probably be best to let the mods decide whats best with this one, it would be worthwhile giving them some time to speak to both rok and the other party about this and see if they get a response.

I purchased an 'High End' Amp of Ebay a few years ago and it took 3 months to arrive as I chose the less expensive method of shipping it by SAL - sea air land. The amp weighed around 35lbs and when it arrived I was more than pleased.
Obviously, 3 months is a bloody long time and I was quite concerned that it would not arrive, therefore, I asked for a photo/scan of the original shipping receipt, to which I received a good, clear, photo of precisely when the item was shipped.
It could be tied up in a backlog of items in some cold warehouse waiting for someone to sort it out...Everything totally shuts down at Xmas/New Year therefore I would ask for a scan/photo of the original shipping receipt. If the 'unknown' member does not comply, then I would assume the worst.

yeah, me this time...

been asked by a forum member for a favour, to bid on a set of wheels on ebay.de, as time was expiring, and they were shipping only to EU. i have bid, won, payed them and the shipping price to my place via paypal.

the guy said he wanted to return the favour, and asked me if i need anything. i was looking for a certain piece of trim, and he said he can get me one.

meanwhile i got the wheels and forwarded them to him. the total ammount 480 of my bloody €uros.

to cut it short, i was told the piece of trim was on the way to my place, and the rest of the money will be sent on my paypal acc. i got 200€, so the piece of trim + shipping was 280€.

No response from him since then, no package arrived to my home (he said he sent it on 3rd of december), no tracking number given no nothing. Just a clean ripoff.

Just an advice: dont be stupid like me, when buying stuff for others, make sure the €€€€ is on your account first.

Hopefully this gets sorted, I won a nardi steering wheel off german ebay and that took around 2-3 months to turn up after I paid, in the meantime I ended up getting another one so ended up with two

Umm yeah I read your post. Patience is a virtue. I have just dealt with too many scammers before and have lost patience. No excuse for lack of communication though.

..for the record, its a pretty rare occurance that a mod will delete any post, either usually after a direct request from the original poster or if we deem it to be offensive in some way and the boundaries as pretty uniform and clear on the discretionary side of things, we aren't the Anti-fun Police

Agree about postage over holidays is bad but total lack of communication to someone who has gone far out of his way to help someone in another country is just plain rudeness. Hopefully skull won't be put off as he seems a friendly knowledgeable fellow willing to help other forum members.
