Well its washed off and looks alot better but needs a good polish to get some of the scratches out but to be fair it does need a paint job really but i wont bother. Cambelt was done this morning but i didnt do the bottom pulley but if these cause a problem i shall get it sorted.
Also have had the oil & filter plus thermostat done just to be on the safe side.
I did notice an oil leak at the front so took the under tray off and see the oil cooler has a small leak so need to sort this plus after washing it,the was a bit of water on the floor by the pedals and looks like its got in around the fuse box area so this will need sorting.
Next i need to sort some breaks out and i took it up the road and ive never driven anything so fast ! I couldnt believe it. Ive had sierra cosworths which i thought were quick but the audi is so much faster,i was seriously shocked. All the gears were nice,no whines in any gear which i were happy about.
Just going to sort the brakes as there are a bit poor and a couple tyres as they are perrished and then mot next week.

It needs some brakes as they are terrible at the moment but not sure if they are standard or not as there is paper work for bigger brakes but will have to investigate further before i buy any.

Anybody got an oil cooler for sale or point me in the right direction for a new one

Change the brake fluid will do lots for the brake effectiveness. And should be done every few years anyway.

Very nice find there!!!! If it's had an N300 coversion it will be quick and should have 330mm Alcon brakes on the front (Four pot alloy calipers and discs with seperate bells). If it's been stood then I expect the pistons are stuck, they're quite easy to strip down and rebuild, I've just done mine. Alcons are about the best brakes money can buy so I doubt you'll need to upgrade, just get the ones you have sorted.

Sounds promising. They should look like this (rear of caliper).

Alcon calipers and those custom discs cost a fortune... they look very different from stock jobs to - post a pic if you can.

A good bleed might sort them out, but as posted already - they might need refurbed with new seals etc...

The face of the clocks might be peeling a bit, and causing the needle to jam.

look to see if the speedo face is peeling... sometimes they can cause the needle to stick physically.

Other times the speedo module itself can go on the blink.
