Change the exhaust for example nips car stock exhaust made 275 upped to 3" made 295 no other mods
Back pressure is a problem on the stock twin cat system even on rs2 seen stock rs2 make 355 no change in map only exhaust
All from the rolling road days I used to do

Have you ever been to North Devon? Getting decent fuel involves some forward planning around here.

Exhaust is not going to make 20hp difference on a stock car.
Measuring on different rolling roads or on different days does not really count either.

Odd how I have no problems making 350hp on a car with stock exhaust with stock cats on, when you say it makes 20hp difference at only 300hp

The price of 17 hundred only includes parts to make the car go faster, you must make sure the car is healthy before you start to dream. I also took the head of, hand ported it, new metal gasket, new water and boost pipes, pressure tested, fixed small hole in IC, bigger front brakes etc....

Bullysteeh for the complete picture the cars in question were meausered on the same rolling road in a dyno cell at Weston RR . Subjectively bullysteeh feel free to speak to members who have changed their exhaust and have noted the difference.

To get those figures, I think that with just turbo, exhaust manifold (because of high EGT on cylinders 1 and 5), fuel injectors and remap should be enough.
Although, if your car is a 3B, a head gasket change would also be recommended. If buying things new, that would mean, more or less, 1000 euros on turbo (RS2), 700 on exhaust manifold (Wagner EVO), 400 on fuel injectors and for the remap... better to ask the tuner. You can also try cheaper options, like the Volvo K24 7400 turbo and a RS2 replica or a STR manifold. And if you run an ABY or AAN, you could use a full RS2 setup (turbo and injectors) and get a generic remap for RS2 (adapting the ECU first) that, I guess, would work, but not as well as a custom mapping.
About exhaust changes, I know a friend whose S2 with a full Supersprint exhaust without cats made almost 260 hp and boost rose up to 0,9 bar, on a stock car. So I guess these are good gains. But, I think that a exhaust change is too expensive for the gains you can get. It would be one of the last things I would change, unless you aim for more power than those 350-380 hp.
                          Cheers.

The boost can not really rise.
It might overshoot initially, but the ECU has mapped boost, so it will adapt and correct to the value specified.
Also, the cars run 1-1.2 bar stock depending on IAT, so if it was unable to achieve this before, it would probably mean his cats were blocked or semi-blocked.

A decat helps the most - the reason for that is, that often the old cats have quite bad flow characteristics due to their age. As for stock exhaust vs 3" exhaust on a stock car, that showed no considerable benefits in my testing.

In fact from a nearby thread, stock decat vs supersprint, but on two dynos:

Which is in line with my findings as well...
I was unable to obtain a difference of more than 10hp, even when I specifically remapped the stock car for the bigger exhaust.

In your experience, would a car currently running on a remapped set up but with stock exhaust see any benefit from a full 3" turbo back, without remapping?

Edit: OK, I typed too slow and see the answer in the post above....
