  • throttle cable required asap

I've got a 90 quattro with aby engine and Wagner inlet manifold. What throttle cable are people using or how do i extend the original one. I've searched previous threads but still no definitive answer.

I bought a universal cable but ended up only using the inner which I threaded through from the pedal end. I then used a short section of outer to extend to the new TB position and attached the nipple from the old cable with a cable joiner. It's been working fine for a while now.

Electrical "choc block" with the plastic cut off Make sure you feed the cable through both the screws from opposite ends.

I used a teflon coated bicycle cable Halfords etc...

be careful. the brass bit with the screws in chews away at the plastic on the throttle.
You need a bead with a hole down the middle to make it seat properly. Like a rubber bead used in fishing or a small ball ledger.

                            PERFORMANCE INTAKE MANIFOLD FOR AUDI 5 CYL. 20V TURBO S2 / RS2

Wagner Tuning Aluminum Cast intake manifolds are CAD Designed and Flow Optimised for each vehicle to produce the ultimate in horsepower and torque from your vehicle.
Constructed of 8.5 lbs. of high grade AlSiMg11 cast aluminum and then CNC machined to our exacting specifications, each manifold is a performance work of art.OEM+ Fit and finish for easy installation.

The Intake comes with a special Surface treatment, wich is equal to the new TTRS Intake Manifold.

The Wagner Tuning Intake manifold features:

                            •Lower air temperature
                            •Increased throttle response
•smaller size when installed allows for larger intercoolers
•tuned intake pulse reduces throttle body valveflutter
•Optimized airflow allowing for increased cylinder fill during intake cycle.
For ABY to ADU code engines a modified servo pump bracket is required.

As the Throttle body location has been relocated to the front of the engine compartment, you must use the OEM Audi throttle cable part #893721555R.
All connectors for vacuum and other ports are preinstalled using high grade steel hardware and fittings.

Custom mounting of the vacuum and other ports are available (if feasible). (Please put your request in the notes field of your order)

The intake manifold is delivered ready to install, no more modifications needed.

That only applies to LHD cars, not RHD

There are multiple threads with solutions from lengthening to using a new inner cable

Sonic posted the details of the inner cable solution and the part
