Where have all the top posters gone?

So I know alot of the long standing members have gone and 'grown up' buying S4's and RS4's and have all gone to the SRS forum.... but why ditch this place too. I know they still lurk and every now and then we get a post or two but I feel alot of the in depth knowledge on the forum has gone a bit quiet since the begginning of purchasing the newer versions of the 80

I also just took a quick look on the SRS forum and was not surprised to see some of the top posters were Dest and Jamo

Come back to the real forum lads

im no top poster either and i also have no car now

i think in the past the forum was right time right place right people.

the current economic climate make it difficult with the insurance burglars and fuel costs. i simply cannot afford another at the moment whereas before when i got mine i could afford the s2 and the 530d.

maybe back into the audi world next year. if i had the cash id have had that 16v quattro thats for sale. alas....

It's not just the S2 forum, I used to frequent another audi forum which was full of great info on 80s, 90s 100s and A6s (C4). It's all gone now, nothing but B5 and B6 A4's.

A year or 2 ago I could have bought an 80 tdi any time, just look up the free ads or local paper and take your pick, spent 3 months looking there and couldn't find one. Possibly the end of an era

                              What site was that?

I know audifans went a bit dead and a lot of the members went to classic audi and nogsport's website.
