Putting this here for error404
We are all aware of the dangers of late night ebay browsing, this car is a great example of why you shouldn't do it.
I should have walked away, but i had traveled far and already insured it.
Nothing like the ad, car was a heap of **** and the seller a liar & cnt.
BTW, The brakes failed on the way home and when i was sorting it the jack went through the sill, if the seller was closer there would have been a nasty fire.
Another issue was buying the car in the heat of summer and the windows & sunroof not working - yes the heater was jammed on full heat. The bent MOT seemed a small issue at this point.

Looks ok?

I think that poor alighnment is due to an s2 nose with s1 light lids and bumper.

So i made the best of what i had, made it safe and reliable, changed the howling gearbox, repaird the leaking rusty fuel tank, made the calipers hold fluid and sorted lights and things.
I had picked this car out because of the fondmetal 16" wheels - would you believe they were buckled
I bought some round wheels for it, set of OZ futura in 8.5 & 10x17.
Crusty but never molesterd and unkerbed.

The rims were wet flatted using 240,400,800 then 1200 and finished with some brasso.
I didnt want to strip the wheels down for now, just a tidy.
Finised rims -

Rear are 255 40 17 (a little stretched) fronts I may change, 205 40 17 (a massive stretch).
The trial fit had an offset fail as they were fitted to a late offset 928 (52mm) and this is 24mm.
Realy not into spacers but needs must.

had to "trim" the hub flange to get the fronts on too
I fitted a pair of springs i had from a 944 long ago and adjusted the rear torsion bars,
gave it a machine polish and admired the changes.

It was a bit of a banger but reliable, nice mpg, and handled like a kart.
It was still a dog however, the seat bases both ripped, cracked dash, random rust/dents ect..
But it did look cool.
