Yes, it's that time again...

Currently with Sky but really want agreed value. Who do you recommend?

I saw a thread recently where the chap from Sky Insurance said they do now offer Agreed Value.

Think maybe it had to be second car and with limited mileage though.

Lancaster are very good with agreed insurance.. Their claims management company TCS are a little less understanding with agreed valuation though.

I used to have an agreed value on my golf with hic. Pretty good with my golf my old caddy which was far from standard

Update on this.

Based on the information in Sonic's thread, I phoned Pace Ward and got an excellent quote from them, with the additional option of track day cover but without AV and without 3rd party emergency cover and with a marginally higher excess.

With that in mind, I then spoke to Sky, who not only matched the nearly 20% cheaper quote but also kept my excess lower and have offered my AV too

Just goes to show, it's really worth while phoning around, even if you're planning on sticking with your current company

Overall, I'd say either of these companies are really worth a call, as both people I spoke to were friendly, professional and happy to help sort cover on a car that's not your normal, run-of-the-mill effort.

I have a fairly long list of mods and have been offered AV, providing the underwriters accept the application, although they have on the previous occasions I've applied.

I got on very well with Sky and wouldn't hesitate to move back if the deal was right when my renewal is due in September, however it was unfortunate that last year, even using the same underwriter, they were more than twice as expensive as Pace Ward.
