Used to get about 22-25mpg with a homefried stock setup. Now with RS2 setup I am at 15mpg no matter what
Mixed running town highway, I get 15L to the 100km and that's with 500 +

        They look like this http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=recaro

They were an expensive option on S2's as well as V6 Coupe's/Cab's but were fitted to RS2's as standard.

MK3 Golf one's are very similar and much cheaper to acquire however they need a slight tweak to fit in an Audi.

The early seats are awful on long journeys unless you hammer it, driving quick means your doing more with you legs and keeps your mind off it. I've recently fitted a set of the latter type seats to my Coupe and their a significant improvement but still not as supportive as the Recaros.

had an S2 as a daily for 12 years !, but should have bought another car much sooner !

except to speed like crazy when going to wintersport by the Autobhan, it s not worth it,

i got a Tdi daily and switch 2 or 3 months to the S2 yearly, perfect, but this year iv done only 500 km with the S2..

so for me the perfect combination is :

a daily Tdi for low cost and a S2 for fun on weekend
              S2 's and oldtimers

I personally found that the standard seats have a rediculous shape. The back curves away from you so that you either support your lower back with your head nowhere near the headrest or do the opposite.

I had MkIII Golf Recaros retrimmed in 'quattro' script cloth bought from Audi Tradition, no complaints

They look good. The lumbar support does not look as pronounced as on the S2 seats. That is what makes them poor for me.

I agree, stock seats are spine breakers, unless you sit bolt upright in a very "germanic" position

I used my RS2 as a daily commuter for 2 years, jointly with my Mk1 Espace. The difference was huge, both make me smile but in different ways. The RS2 is a great commuter, although the fuel is laughable, the clutch is heavy, the boost lag is comical and the radio aerial doesn't work. I could fix item 4. My view is that classic cars are a lifestyle and are there to be used.

I've been driving some form of turbo quattro as a daily since the mid 80s, either a UR, S2 or (recently) RS4, I really don't know what it's like to live with anything else (apart from a bunch of motorbikes).. Before the UR i had a Mk2 Jag, that used some juice..

Should add though that I don't have to drive to work these days..

I use my S2 avant daily for 2,5 years and owned it for 12 years now, I have the leather recaro(so no complains) and it´s homefried, it´s on LPG and I love the efortless power it delivers, it´s a comfortable, secure and fast, for me the ideal family car and economical to, in the last 2,5 years on LPG I´ve done 45000Km averaging 14lts(lpg)/100Km (9€/100Km + less than 1Lt. of 98oct.= 10,5€/100KM) pretty good me thinks! The car is standart apart the homefrie and with 225000Km, serviced every 15000Km apart from consumabales it needed nothing. I don´t boot it often because 1-I´m 42, 2- I got used to the power, 3-I have a sports bike (pretty fast!)

Like these. Are they just normal gti mk3 recaro seats then. The bolsters look big
