Am i the only one thinking that just because you're not using it that isn't a good enough reason to get rid of it?!

All i can say is that car at that spec require significantly more than £25k to complete. Hell my s2 cost many multiples of it, and it's still not to the same standard.

I think Darren would be silly to sell it HOWEVER I do see his pov. I built a beetle about 5 years ago or so and it was really nice and cost me absolutely nothing since the rbuild apart from its MOT and insurance which was £100 per year. I sold it last year after realising it wasnt getting used, and I couldnt see the point in it sitting in the garage all the time. I know it was the most sensible thing to do as it is funding my new bathroom at home however I wish I still had it as I miss having the opportunity to go get it out should i want to. (I just used to choose the S2 or my T4 over it all the time lol) The worst thing i did??? Find a buyer, take a deposit and then the day before it went I got it out of the garage for its final wash and a quick drive. I miss it so much now. Best pull my finger out and get on with building the other one I have or the beach buggy or 356 rep conversion.

So I agree with Darrena dn good luck to you but I can guarantee you will miss it and wish you had never sold it as its harder to replace than the beetle.

This resurrected thread did give me an opportunity to read about the build on this awesome machine for the nth time. The perfect 2nd car for me. If it ever came up for sale formally, it would present a few with a decision, myself included.
