Rocco - Please add for the BLACKLIST

    Hello
Please, put ROCCO – Tomas Lorente on the black list of sellers and I wrote this post as a warning …
This post should be written earlier, but firstly I had my work and family duties and secondly I hoped that Rocco will pay me compensation ( if 500 Euro can be called compensation compared with all the costs that I bore for now) But from the beginning..
22.03.2014- I wrote that I’m interested in the engine, the seller tried to promote it as “the kind of mechanical art”.. and that it’s the best 2.2 turbo which he’s ever had.. he wrote it 25.03.2014

I answered then that 4000 Euro is too expensive for me and after heavy battles we negotiated 3800 Euro.. Of course in Poland- where I live – this amount of money is multiple of several months’ wage so this expense was huge for me… I decided to sell my original engine from s2 sedan that I built from scratch bought by Rocco’s stories.. all in all, looking at the range of this forum, Rocco was the kind of “guru” when it comes to 2.2 turbo matters… I was naïve and also the beautiful stories of PK Motorsport parts turned my head..
So I set up two tranches, firs smaller and second when I’ll sell my engine..
12.05.2014- the first transfer of money
At the beginning of July- the second transfer of money- when I sold my engine
23.07.2014- the engine was sent, but it got back to me in destroyed package luckily with only small scratches. On the same day my mechanic was shocked because of some things. Firstly, there were many places covered with a great film of silicone and secondly, my mechanic said that the real condition of engine is not good as it should be after 5000km made, that Rocco mentioned…
11.09.2014- I wrote it to Rocco and I got only this answer:

At the same time we started the engine and it made an unusual and scary noises .. and I was one more time stupid and naïve and one more time I heard Rocco (the answer above) that I shouldn’t open and touch this engine, because it’s great and wonderful… Rocco said me that there’re only “mechanic glasses” (heh you’ll see in a while what is called ‘mechanic glasses’ by Rocco). The car worked in a strange way and the first tuning was planned at the beginning of 2015 season ..
Then it was winter and the car had to be in the garage.. In that time I focused on another details… I became a father, and there were a lot of duties connected with baby..
In the summer we mounted new 3071R turbo and we started the tuning ..Unfortunately, oil crankcase breather pump stank like oil totally, on the left and the right, and from the exhaust pipe went a cloud of pollution with oily odour .. These are photos of one bottle mounted after one crank up! ( almost 1l )

We tried many options and after all attemptions the new turbo said STOP! ..I was broken.. of course, Rocco was written all the time that it is impossible- the best engine ever- something bad is with the oil connection.. heh one more time I was stupid and I got tempted that Rocco’ll send me their lousy OIL Catch Tank and after I mounted it the situation was worse.. I decided to open the engine… it’s not worth saying anything… I haven’t even made 100km and the engine looks like this:

And what is the best- these are my ‘SUPER PK motorsport mechanic glasses’:

Rocco started to explain that they bought this engine from another seller and they didn’t know like it looks inside, but on the other hand- I don’t care… Unfortunetely, they didn’t accept the return, despite the fact that the engine they was selling was inconsistent with the description!!!
After heavy battles Rocco decided to give me compensation of 500 Euro… This amount of money is funny when compared with 3800 Euro that I paid for the engine which qualifies to general overhaul ( where for general overhaul, new presses and another things I’ll pay the same amount one more time). So what if they haven’t even paid me 500 Euro of compensation- because they thought that when they stopped to answer my mails and messages it’ll be better..
I hope that when I’ll go to Spain soon (the great distance)and I visit with my big friends..
Mail conversation in doc can be find here- I don’t have anything to hide:

The most important is the fact that the engine looks good after opening the package- I invite you to see this photos as a warning… ehh I lost a huge amount of money and the new turbo.. Maybe it may be possible that Rocco’ll answer here…

Piotrek, that's a real shame. I think you should consider legal action.

Looks like there have been some grit inside the engine, sand..? It could also bee the reason to the turbo fail.

                  Thanks mates

These 500 euros would not be enough even to cover 20% of repairs that need to be done ....

So just to confirm the sequence of events then...

                    22/03/14 -

                    Tomas confirmed engine ran 575bhp / 700Nm on GT3076 0.82AR 2.2Bar and comprises of -

Cylinder head with mechanical lifters for over 8500rpm
Ported head with brand new internals
Bigger inlet valves, "special" valve springs and camshafts
                    New hall sensor
                    Lightweight and nitrided crankshaft
New water pump, cambelt, crank seals
Engine block re-bored and honed with Mahle Racing 81.4mm pistons and Pauter rods
Brand new 2.5 TSFI coils and NGK spark plugs

                    - All completed by PKM Motorsport in Germany costing more than €5000.

The engine has done approx 5000km - 2000kms before he bought it and 3000km since he's owned it.

Agreed price of €3800 to be paid in 2 instalments on 12/05 and 01/07.

23/07/14 - The engine arrived but in a damaged package and upon inspection from your mechanic it appeared the engine was not in good condition. The engine has been unseen by you until now, but was still not inspected internally.

11/09/14 - You confirmed that your mechanic had finished installing the engine and had started it, but that after it reached temperature it sounded strange, and that the timing marks didn't line up. Tomas advised you not to touch the timing.

Summer 2015 - Installed a new 3041R turbo and started tuning the engine which is when oil vapour started coming through the exhaust. You opened the engine after not even 100km to find significant scoring to the bore, pistons, crank and bearings (as seen in the photos above).

                      Exactly.

Immediately after the assumption by the large amount of oil I hurt the new turbo and had to be regenerated - replace the measure "Chra" and it cost me 1000EURO and another period of waiting .....

The car did not do on their own as much as 100 kilometers, because I'm not counting car carrier ...

The way i read Sonics reply actually implies more negligence on your part. especially given the time in this scenario, if there was a thought that something was wrong upon arrival of the engine, it should have been inspected at that time. not after other factors took place.

I agree in part - my mistake. I trusted implicitly pseudo-guru who swore that it has to be and everything is perfect. I would ask you that you traced the e-mails and read the description of what posted Rocco otherwise you looked at it. The worst fact Rocco admit that EVEN HE DOESN'T know what's inside! - Because he bought it from someone - a pity that he wrote it until the end and not before the sale ....

You have to pay for experience but sometimes it costs a lot more than expected.

                              Sadly of course.
