So a >300bhp <1500kg S2 would do it! More bhp and a bit of diet for your Audi would be the key, and anyone with a front drive car will be red-faced as a result of the 4wd Audi giving him the slip...
Should be fairly straightforward!

Should be straightforward but not sure that the power/weight correlation is linear (ie might need 350bhp for1500 to = 200 for 1000) also the lighter weight compensates for 4WD in the cornering speeds as the lateral forces of weight x velocity will come into play ?? But I could be wrong!

Hi Niall!
Power to weight ratio is what it says it is, the power figure is a measure of the amount of work that can be done in a given time (eg lifting a weight vertically). The relationship is linear. Stuff that isn't linear includes drag, that goes up by the square of speed (eg twice the speed = four times the drag, and three times the speed = nine times the drag), and I would suggest that the coast down effect is another matter (frictional losses through the drivetrain - a particular bugbear of four wheel drive - but the trade off is superior traction).
Having said all that, I think a 300bhp S2 really wouldn't have too much trouble against a 200bhp Integra - and a more powerful S2 would take the Honda apart.

As for going around corners, race the Honda on a wet day!!!! Yes, less weight is a big advantage on the twisty bits - the rally Audis were best at pointing and squirting (so to speak) - the cornering prowess is more a case of traction for better exit speeds.

Can't comment on an S2, but I can tell you for sure that an Oettinger Chipped RS2 will leave the Type Rfor dust (once you've got past the increased turbo lag!)
There are a few integra type r's around my way now. Ill have a go with one when the oppotunity arises and let u no how it goes. The only Honda i have encounted is an NSX. They are quick but i still had the upper hand on him.
3'' Longlife Exhaust, Koni Adjustables, H&R Springs, Full RS2 Setup with Mr Nugents RS2 Chips (just need the RS2 Airbox)
