That's your interpretation of what I said - interesting slant I guess. Some might say there is probably some truth in that - from a stereotypical PoV anyway...
These are just opinions Ski - I ain't falling out with anyone here - though admittedly my use of the word 'nob' might be construed in the wrong way. You have quoted me on that more than once now so I'm sorry if it offended you so much.
I just don't see the point of this new fad of RWD drift racing... Quattros going sideways on the absolute limit of traction (especially on loose surfaces) is just more interesting for me. You have your opinion... I have mine... Peace already !Paul Nugent

the S4 4.2 V8 92-94, has the same rear diff as the 2.2 turbo, possibly with thorsen centerdiff, im not sure. the 97- S6+ has no buttons that adjust the quattro system, and i dont think the S6+ handles any better on ice/snow than the S4 2.2t..
but the S6+ has meck lifters for the intake valves for higher rpm, thinner valveshafts, shorter 6. gear++Last edited by ridgeracer; 23 November 2005, 20:42.96 RS2

So if anyone has a late tailgate with said spoiler (especially in Blue) please let me know
Yep definately an S4 as opposed to S6 or S6+! Mirrors, grill and bumpers are all S4. The 4.2 engine was an option in Europe, it's listed in my original S4 manual but I reckon all the running gear was the same as the 2.2. S6+ is a different animal altogether with more power and built by the Quattro Gmbh division of Audi. Pretty sure they created the original RS4 too

URs4 with V8
I can assure you guys that the URS4 exists with V8 engine, and as somebody mentioned the engine was the ABH with 280hp. I know this for sure becouse i own one myself. It´s definately possible to drift these cars without any mods at all. All you need is a slightly wet tarmac and the drifting possibilities are endless
i got a little bit carried away with my drifting this fall and ended up totally wrecking 2 17" alloy rims. Which led to having to borrow a set of wheels from a friend (Henka here at S2forum). Need i mention the drifting ended with borrowing my friends rims...

Guys... There is nothing that special about the S6+ I tell you that. Yes, it's a 326hp V8 C4. It's got the same running gear as any S4 V8. It doesn't have any magic buttons or special torque distributing mechanisms. Sorry to have to burst the bubble. It doesn't have a lockable rear diff - just that ABS based crap they call anti-spin or what ever. Yes, it's a cool car as it's not built in a limited series - but that's it. Nothing special. Well yeah, ok, it was the first car built by Quattro gmbh.Comment

Yep just seen that, very nice!! It's not an S6+ though, it's the 295bhp 4.2 S6.
