    On the rollers!

Took my s2 on the rollers today and was happy with the results. I got 280hp and 359nm of torque, 190hp at the wheels . It was a bit down on the torque from what i was expecting but i was still happy. I would post the graph but i cant get it to upload.

280 hp its very good but 359 nm was a little low i think.
I havent run mine on the rollers yet, but i have run it with gtech pro RR and i got 205 hp at the wheels and 360 nm at the wheels. I think the chip shall provide about 280 hp. Maybee some other can say if its around that figure at the crank when it pull out 205 at the wheels. This test was done in 3 gear

Kim Collins at QST done it. Very impressive rolling road. From what doug wrote on here it is one of the best in the country so it must be accurate. Anybdy tell me how i can get the graph up on here? Another thing the intake temp was 17.3 is this high? I was thinking of getting a bigger intercooler.

Can i ask how much it was???

17.3 deg C or F. is pretty low , pretty good, giving higher output
Do they really have an air conditioned R/R room.

Scan graph, save it in your documents/pictures, then when in
forum upload it as an attachment.

Thanks newsh what do u lot think of the graph then? The price was 90+VAT for a pressure check, fault codes read and two dyno runs. Why do u think the torque was down? I thought i was looking at about 400nm. I used tesco 99ron to

Interesting that the peak torque was shown at around 4K when it is much lower on a standard engine. I didn't realise that chipping raised the peak torque figure so much

Do you have a bespoke chip (i.e. written for your car) rather than a generic/homefry, as the peak revs look higher than standard too?

Is this an acceptable power loss due to 4WD systems...cos it looks a tad large to me although I have only ever RR'd 2WD cars to date.

                      Cheers n

I had a remapp by Doug and Mihnea be interesting to see what they think of the graph. 90bhp lost i thought that was quite high to. 190 @ the is not to bad though.

How are "Power at Flywheel" readings worked out on RR?

Do you know if the MAHA rollers in each corner are braked? Just asking because I am doing a RR day in early Feb '06 over at Awesome GTI, Manchester and they are only going to be able to supply "Power at the Wheels" readings and cannot give "Flywheel Readings".

Even though it is a 4wd rolling road only the front rollers are powered/braked hence the lack of flywheel readings etc.

Anybody shed light on this subject regarding getting a flywheel reading on a RR and 2wd/4wd differences etc? Just being an anorak I am afraid.

Something not right with that graph. Power and torque should always cross at 5200 rpm

Why should they cross at 5200rpm? Any suggestions as to why this is not the case?
