Bought the first.Had it 2 years.Got bored with what I replaced it with. Now on my 2nd.

I've always been a fan of the Ur quattro, since the good old rallying days when I was a kid, but thought I couldn't afford to run one, and also thought it would be cruel to punish one with my daily driving. I'm also not really a fan of '70s interior design, which is why I've never had a MkI/II Golf either.

After seeing (and hearing) an S2 in rally action in the mid-'90s, I decided I wanted one. It seemed to me to be like a modern Ur quattro, just what I wanted. But I thought I'd keep dreaming until I turned 25, when I was told, the insurance would be affordable, and also the cost of an S2 would be more within reach.

After a few years I got a bit eager and went looking when I was 23. I enquired, but no one would insure me, so I went on the hunt for any old 5 cylinder Coupé quattro.
Then just after I turned 24, a lovely looking titan cq20v came up, so I got that. The insurance still cost me nearly £2k , but I had to have that car.

I carried on casually looking for an S2, and the insurance gradually got cheaper.
Then I started seriously looking for an S2 when I was 26, and found the one for me about 6 months later.

I’m now 25.

My first Audi was a -82 100 CS (5E engine), after wrecking it I promised myself that I would get a 5 cyl Audi later, just loved the mid range power and 5 cyl roar .

Later (~1996) I read about "the 90's musclecar" owned by Hans Dahlback, a black -91 Audi S2 tuned to 450 hp, a high hp number for a street driven turbo car at the time. And I thought "if possible I will get something like that one day!".

5 years later (november 2000 and I was 31) I found a good example of a 3B and I still have it. Not quite 450 hp but RS2'ed at least Latest mod will be CR500DOM catchtank, hope to get it fitted this weekend.

Purchased a 2.8 80Q when 21, then purchased my S6 Avant (Border Collie passenger ) @ 25. Since owning my S I've managed to convert 3 mates into S car enthusiasts! Actually one lads onto his 3nd and busy looking for another, problem is he can't leave them in one bloody piece Youngest mate was 23 with his 1st S being an S3 (That didn't last long his G/Friend took it when they broke up )
One things for sure you gotta love Slipper Waggons

i was 18 when i bought my s2. now i`m 21 and still own it.

past my test when i was 18, had a 1.9 desel clio for a year (ran it on chip fat so that was a cheap year)
turnd 19 and bought a 2.8 80 quattro, ran that for a year.
turnd 20 and bought a s4 ran that for 3 weeks then lost my licance!
