I think a lot of you are looking at a new MAF. Mine was £142 inc VAT P&P via vagparts RS2 P/N 034 133 471N.
Remember I have replaced all items that could have affected fuel consumption in the past 2 years. Sparks, thermostat, fuel filter, lambda N75, etc. No fault codes at MRC recently. Even Mihnea asked me why I was going to replace the MAF (3 years old Porsche 968 same Bosch P/N as RS2).
Now I have used just under 1/2 tank optimax, usual urban driving and have covered 150 miles instead of 100 miles (usually get 220miles max pre E sign)
I admit I replaced the PCV at the same time and this could have contributed but my view is the MAF can deterioate without codes.
All I would suggest is if you have done the usual think of replacing the MAF. Mine will pay for itself over the next few months !!!!!!!!!

I'm currently getting 13.8 MPG, but I think this is due to the fact that I have got a massive spelt on the intake house. I'm trying not to drive it too much as you can tell its not cheap to run at the moment at all. On a full tank which is about £60 Super unleaded I have been getting about 210 miles.

Its a joke, I'm can't wait to get my samco hoses hopefully this will solve the problem, I have also brought a new oxygen sensor as it probably could do with replacing. I'm presuming its the orginal and my car has done 150,000 miles so I think its time to change it.

I hope this fuel prices don't keep rising, looks like i'll be back on the push bike
