I do remember that, 1987 it came out according to this site! The author seems to think it has a "camp appearance"

Reading on other forums i've come up with this list, worth getting?

Dual Brake setup - so it stops better
Steering servo - Is there stronger ones or whats the logic there, seen it mentoned on a few forums?
Some spare spur gears - Yet to work out where they go?

Whats your opinion on buying them from ebay second hand? Interesting about buying from the US, i was looking at that as it works out a lot cheaper for me when i do the currency conversion. Over here they want €600 for them when i pick them up for $400 in the US, which is ~€315. Thats half the price
dual disk brake - dont get it, waste of money, get a carbon brake instead. the dual brakes are too sharp, its either on, or off.
steering servo, lots of company make them. stay away fromk digital ones, they very accurate and powerful, but will drain batteries in 20 mins. I purchased a £60 one but so long ago i forgot name. Installing a steering servo is a long and complicated jobbie, leave that until your convinced you want more turning power.
Spur gear is a cog which is a link from your clutch, to your gearbox. its plastic and on purpose is the weakist link, so it will shred rather than your gearbox metal cogs shreding. About £5 so no biggie. If setup incorrectly it will wear out much faster. one lasted me for around 10 months so it seems i got a good setup going on.

Second hand from ebay? nah, theres a reson they are selling them. Might have an engine issue they cannot solve and warranty wont do it.. you never know.

from states? yes works out cheaper, but not that cheap once customs get their hands on it, and if something is wrong with the car, you goto send it back to HPi in USA, imagine the shipping cost, and the time you goto wait for it to return.

      my 2 pence

P.S. for the biggest savage-only community, check out www.savage-central.net.

be aware tho, its full of trigger happy 11 year old americans (which think smashing your car with a hammer is fun). however its also full of information and vids and such.

I love the Q6 rims got a set myself. very stylish.

however the strongest rims you can get are from HotBodies.

try : http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ for options and prices.

h p i are good but for true petrol head rc cars you have to go down the route of F.G

check out there website and large scale models web site and you will see what i mean i used to race them when they first came out in this country and well there is nothing that will touch them they have a chain saw engine no poxy nitro just super unleaded with two stroke oil and well there is only a few people who make these types of models ( carnt remember the other names ) search ebay under fg models..
these are the most fun you can have with any radio controlled car ever except fpr mini z model cars now those are super me and about 10 friends have them and well you can all race with them and there such a laugh but you can only use them in good conditions like on wooden floors etc but yeah fg for pure speed etc disc brakes on each wheel ( sadly had to sell mine when the s2 came along ) havin spent over £2000 pounds on it though it was a true piece of kit my mates who race 1/10th have had dogs chase there monster trucks and i used to chase the dogs .. funnie

o and of course mini zs all so have monster truck as well now these are super full on trick machines now dont get me wrong these are small but they use proppa size radios and every thing works as in any other radio controlled car fully propotional ( or what ever) and they are super honestly if your not after petrol and want to keep your kids happy these could be the ones for you .

you can even as i have put lights kits into these little models and well super night time fun no photos of these though
