That's it, gone, no more S2 for me

Ok, I've gone and done it. The S2 is no longer in my hands. I've sold it. Today I handed over the keys and moved on.

We've bought an A4 Avant quattro 3.0V6 Sport, it just wasn't working out with the Coupe as our only daily driver with the wee one

Anyway, it's gone. 3 1/2 years of the most fantastic motoring I've ever had. The modified S2 gives you so much bang for your buck

The new owner will no doubt be making himself very proudly known around here in the not too distant. He's already a forum member, so watch out for a very happy man appearing very shortly

I would never have kept the car so long if it wasn't for this place. I never would have had so much fun with the car if it wasn't for this place. I never would have learnt so much about cars full stop if it wasn't for this place.

I'm sure I'll still lurk here, but for me, the S2 dream is over. I now need therapy

Dan, sorry to see it go, if you'd just lasted another year your little one would be forever asking Dad to take them out in it. However as we have a little one i understand its a pain in the a8se to live with and lug kids stuff about - however great substitution with the A4....The A6 Avant on our drive is the only reason the S2 is still with us

                Good luck.....!

Shame to hear that Dan. Its probably the best way to get out of ownership, make your decision, don't tell no-one and get rid quick before you get talked round to keeping it

                            I have to say, Definatly!!

I am absolutley chuffed to bits with the car, but I do feel bad for Dan having to hand over the keys to me. Is it wrong to feel guilty for taking a mans pride and joy?

But credit where its due, Dan has really looked after this car superbly well and I shall continue to maintain it to his standards. So thank you Dan, I owe you big time. Also, I know its not easy handing the keys over and I live just down the road from you so I'm sure you havent sat in the drivers seat for the last time. :mischeif:

I've been out and about in the car today to gain a feel for it and even though I havent pushed it (I don't really intend to until the car and I become 'one' ) this is the greatest car I have owned, I'm very impressed.

Now I have become an 'official' member of the elite brigade, I intend to be showing my face at a few of the meets.

                            Thanks again Dan!

I know, I'm still in shock myself, but I just felt it (the S2) just wasn't the right option for me and the family right now. The sacrifices one has to make as a father eh

Still, I'm very happy to see it "stay in the forum family" and I know Rob'll take great care of my trusty machine.
