5th Gear on tv

Anyone see the the 'new look' 5th Gear tv programme on five the other night?, and think 'what a pile of tosh'?

Crap presenter, tiresome copies of Top Gear stunts, pointless features and 'bigging-up' Tiff Needel as if he was some sort of god or something.

Pretty poor show really.

There are a couple of big threads about this on PH.

A more dismal and ***** programme about cars I have not seen.

New presenter is a nob
VBH is a munter. (Sorry I don't care what anyone says, there is nothing good about her)
Tiff is okay but the race was crap and badly edited.
Jon Bentley is a c o c k
The fat bloke is annoying
The VW golf was a perfectly good car until it was needlessly crushed.
The Al Gore interview was weak.
The RC car race was pants.

I too had the misfortune to see it last night.

I couldn't believe how bad it was, it was presented like a was a kids TV show, and a really dismal one at that. It was always Top Gears poorer cousin, now it's Top Gears distant juvenile relative with behavioural problems.

Pure poop no less.

Its such a shame as i used to watch it for the simple reason VBH, Jason, and Tiff are all ex drivers from various forms of motorsport vs the top gear crew which are just a bunch of journalists. Much more entertaining driving but all this interviewing, star in a reasonably priced car crap really irritates me. I want to see car action not some b list celeb who used to be on tv talking *****

Goto agree on this too, I watched the first 25mins or so and by that time gave up and switched it off. Trying to be a rip off of top gear and it just doesnt have that something top gear does. Although top gear has its crap moments but nothing like 5th gear last night.

I did not see last nights show but glad about it from reading the above. Never a huge fan but VBH always made up for the other content. I would and thats all I'm saying.

TG is the best and will always remain so. Once the Hamster is back behind the wheel the world will return to normal.

Total rubbish.

RC car thing, never mentioned Pedro Delarosa was world champ RC driver before trying the real thing. One fact more than I learned from what should now be called first gear..

Crappy ****** show but Tiff is a god... that man can drive proper like!

Always remember the opening sequence to an old school TG with an M5, XJR and an AMG E class powersliding for what seemed like about 15 minutes on one corner of an airfield (actually about 15s but I was young and impressionable!) Awesome!

Never liked 5th gear. Tiff has got to be the most annoying presenter off all times. He does those Rides shows on Discovery too doesn't he? And man.. all those useless and half-true facts, where do they come from?
Lets hope that Top Gear doesn't get cancelled so that atleast we can spend some quality time infront of the tv
