i'm sure that if you calculate mph per 1000 revs on a ur it equates to about 22.5mph/1000
and as the UR rev counter just flashes all the segments once it get to 6200rpm so dont know how may rev its was at but i'm not sure my engine was revving to 7200
which is what it would take to do that speed in top.

I did my car on the M20 about midday. I've had my bike to the rev limit in top (1000RR) racing a Porker 997 - did J11 M23 to J4 M25 (home outside my garage door in Orpington) in 16 minutes - av speed 163Mph. (11:30pm on a Bank Hol Monday last year)

If yours is green then its a 10valve?
Mine never revved that high, hit the limiter. 20valve has higher limiter.
I wonder what speed a green dash stops at?
Green dash has two settings for rev counter, 1 has two little lines going up, 2nd fills the space behind it, I think the first one is the most accurate.

Hmm, odd. Max I've been in a very healthy Coupe quattro 20V is 138mph in Germany last year. That was over an 8 mile stretch, and that WAS flat out, without having to slow down at all!
That does tie in with the max quoted in my instruction manual - 220km/h max. 147mph from a 7A car is bordering on Avant S2 max of 150mph - 90 quattro 20V IS lighter, but there's still a 60PS difference.
I'd say the 7A speedo must have been out of calliberation a fair bit...

Sorry John, gotta agree with Delta. 147mph minus 6% error for speedo being out of whack at the top end, gives around 138mph. Book speed.
And four people? two tiny kids hardly contribute to being "four up"

I've had 70mph out of mine, I never speed
Here I am and there I went....I was described as the red blur in the outside lane by the copper who replayed the video tape taken from his front mounted camera.
The actual sentence went something like....'You can see my speed, as indicated in the lower right corner of the screen, is currently passing 86MPH as I accelerate to intercept you, now if you wait you will see......that red blur was you passing me like I was going backwards. How do you plead?'
It's all very well having proof that your car is fast and having it on video is fabulous, but let's just say that there must be cheaper ways of getting said proof
Like Jas, I now own an S2 which cannot exceed 70MPH
I managed just over 150mph on the speedo in my cq20v on a slight downhll, but there was nothing left.
I don't like the feel of the S2 at over 160. The rear seems to feel a bit floaty, like the rear spoiler isn't big enough.
IIRC Doug got >170 in his S2, and the rear wiper started lifting and tapping on the window.
So, am I the only guy here who claims to have gone over a genuine 200 MPH? (I think thats about 321 KMH)
That is GPS not speedo...
Incidentally, a mate was behind, with his wife on the back, he got to an indicated 190 MPH in hot pursuit...........(ZX-12) wouldn't want to have been her for all the tea in China...!
I was fortunate enough to not get this as the highest speed attained for a conviction, as I said, I bottled it at 206 MPH, it is geared to do 240 ish...but it was still pulling, although I reckon a gust of side wind and I would have changed 3 lanes...!
Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
