Who has the highest mileage engine on here? I have a few with high mileage. can any one beat 270k? on completely original engine no rebuilds, no heads off, nothing done.

150k. At one point I had 2 cars with over 300k between them but that doesn't really count does it!

270k is a good effort!

There was a recent story of a Saab owner who did 1million miles in a 1989 900. Saab gave him a new car for free and now use the 1million mile 900 as a show car to show their reliability. Shame they're glorified Vauxhalls now

amazing the old saabs, my ex father in law had 250 thou on his 9000 turbo, it ran and sounded great

Seems like I'm almost wet behind the ears with only 202K miles on my AAN then.

No other work ever done than normal and proper servicing either. Though I'm going to treat her to a new DV and WGFV in the very near future.

Strewth Chris. That's rather good on an RS2 setup 3b! No wonder mine's running so smoothly on 250bhp!

well Just so you have a better clue of the strength of a 3b I am currently driving my fathers 91 200 20vt with a chipped 3b stock turbo stock motor never rebuilt Ever and it\'s north of my CQ I stated above. I\'ll let you know soon the actual mileage once I can get a picture cause otherwise you\'ll never be completely sure.

Not a 20V Turbo, but we had a 2.3 10v coupe come to work with 438,000 miles on the clock, the car looked worn out but in ran okay

s6 on 198000 original exshaust, clutch, engine, head, turbo,rad,gearbox, diff,only the front wheel bearings replaced at around 150k,and brakes of corse.

S4 AAN, chipped, 246 000 km with some track time. There should be others out there with plenty more km on the clock I think...

most i've witnessed was a taxi in spain with just over 914k on it...
was a 5door mk2 golf, he said he'd only done general servicing and 3 clutch changes lol.
