I'm afraid I'm with Steve on this one, looks a bit toooo staged, no marks on the tree at all, not a lot of debris on the road for that type of crash, hell I had more than that on the road after I bumped mine.
I work in the industry, and get to see some of the crash tests and there would be a HUGE amount of debris scattered for a big distance, especially a crash that ripped a car like that in half.
The cut/split along the roof looks too neat. Soory, a well put together Audi (or any other car) would have tear marks along there from spot welds pulling nuggets.
    Too staged for me.

That is truly amazing he walked away from that.
A couple of miles from where I sit there's a tree that folded a ur quattro pretty much in half, the guy in the back seat was killed, the 2 guys in the front walked away. You can still see the bit of bark missing from the tree but its healthy enough, that was in about 1988. The tree is still only just over a foot or so in diameter.. If you ask a rally driver what they are scared of, chances are they'll say the trees.

I've seen a few smashed up Audis in my time but foook me that looks nasty, I ain't ever seen the welds tear like that!!!! Lucking he was the only one in the car! Can't see why anyone would go to the effort of faking those pictures! I bet you could have that same crash a thousand times and never have that damage, its just a one off.

                That is one sick accident!!
A good old tree aint nothing to mess with. I remember when I was in the army we were amazed how strong trees were when we tried to knock them down using our tanks.
Those things are strong as hell!

I wasn't suggesting the "incident" was faked, just that I am amazing a standard car would "split" down the middle like that, and perhaps the car had been in an "incident" previously.

Although, I guess it is feasible that the small diameter tree "cut" the car in two like a cheese wire, but he must have been travelling.

Eitherway, a lucky lucky lucky ba***rd!

                  Cheers,

                  Steve.

I live 25 km away from the place where this Crash happened. Just for those who think this may be a fake (too staged,...). IT IS NOT! All the pictures that "blown_vr6" is posting here are real. And yes, the driver wasn't hurt! It's hard to believe, but it happened just like this, here in the north of Luxembourg between Dahl and Goesdorf.

Ok, you say it's not staged. I'm wrong, don't mind admitting that.

BUT, if a car as big as that can disintegrate, then I'm shocked at it's poor build quality.
Got nothing to do with the car build strength that the driver walked away, if it had been a RHD car, the driver would be in pieces.
Sheer luck, one very very lucky driver.

Seen a few prangs (Paramedic too!) and the main factor here is speed. Doesn't matter what you are driving, if you hit a tree fast enough this is the result. Seem to remember an A3 ending up in a similar state couple of years ago on the continent some where only both ocupants died, pics on here somewhere. This is Mr Lucky from Luckyville and he must have lookin for a pushbike after this prang!
